The Food, Nutrition and Health program offers you the flexibility to tailor your education to your interests in food, nutrition, and health, without choosing a particular specialization. Career options include consumer counselling, family life education, or you could pursue further studies in home economics.
UBC's Wine Research Centre has a wine library capable of storing 20,000 bottles. It also houses the DNA array laboratory, a core facility for Western Canada. The lab has a fully integrated Affymetrix GeneChip instrument, comprising a hybridization oven, a fluidics station, and an argon laser gene array scanner with a Microarray Suite workstation.
