Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering
Description:
Electrical Engineering students take the same fundamental courses in Computer Engineering, such as microprocessors systems, embedded controllers, assembly and compiler language programming. However, Electrical Engineering students have a greater choice of optional courses in the last two years, including courses in communication systems, integrated circuits, digital signal processing, biomedical systems, power electronics and electric drives.
The Electrical Engineering program is accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board. Graduates are eligible to become an Engineer in Training, and after four years of acceptable industrial experience can apply for full Professional Engineering status and membership in the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
