Economics training helps students develop logical ways of thinking and problem solving applicable to the business world and their personal lives. Students are trained to understand and analyze numerical data, draw logical conclusions and communicate the information to others. After gaining a foundation of micro and macroeconomics, students progress to public finance, financial markets and institutions, and/or international trade and finance.

Grade 12 English (ENG4U)
2 of: Grade 12 Advanced Functions and Introductory Calculus
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with six Grade 12 U or M courses at the end of the current school year with an overall average of 65%.
Prerequisites for Non-Ontario residents are listed on the Algoma website.
