Description: Geography is a broad-ranging subject. As a social science it is concerned with the spatial patterns of human activity and the character of regions and places. Explore the complex relationships between society and the natural environment as well as the social and economic problems of human land use and settlement. Our innovative programs, which provide first-hand experience through fieldwork, begin with courses that teach freshman students how to undertake empirical studies and how to examine factors that shape societies, economies, regions, and cities.

The Physical and Human Geography program includes courses in the areas of both Geography and Environmental Science. This program is offered as a Major Program.

Grade for Entrance Previous Year (%)*: 75 to 80
Prerequisites: These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.

  • While not required for admission, recommended courses include grade 12 Geography, and a grade 12 Math (Calculus & Vectors/ Advanced Functions/ Mathematics of Data Management). Please refer to website for more information. A Supplementary Application Forms (SAF) is required for all programs except for the Concurrent Education Programs (which require an Applicant Profile). Get the SAF as soon as possible to allow sufficient time to complete and submit the form.
