Philosophy (B.A. 3-year)

School: Concordia University College of Alberta
Degree: Bachelor
Field of Study: Philosophy
Description: One simply isn't well educated unless one knows what Philosophy is, what its sub-disciplines and questions are, and something of its history. As a student of Philosophy at Concordia, you learn these things, and more, as you consider extremely interesting questions that are crucial to your life. Studying Philosophy allows you to deal with these questions in a careful, rational manner. In the process, you develop the reading, writing, and thinking skills that are invaluable for a lifetime. There is no discipline which will better enhance your critical and creative thinking skills.

The Philosophy program at Concordia is designed to give you "the big picture" of what's going on in Philosophy, the core knowledge and skills crucial to a decent education in Philosophy, and plenty of opportunity to pursue in more detail the specific topics in which you are interested.
