Description: Much of our daily life involves interacting with other people and almost everyone is curious about why people behave the way they do. Psychology is the scientific study of human behaviour, and by studying Psychology you gain insight into the behaviour of others and of yourself.

The Psychology concentration at Concordia University College of Alberta has two areas of focus. The first is Human Behaviour and Mental Processes where you study learning development, thinking, personality, perception, motivation, intelligence, and memory, as well as the major theoretical orientations and the basic research in these areas. The second is Skill Acquisition where you learn to read in the area, interpret and practice what you have read, and where you acquire the basic statistical and methodological skills needed to understand research reports and to carry out basic research.
