Description: The University of Manitoba’s Actuarial Program is one of the oldest and most successful in North America, having its birth in 1921 and graduating hundreds of actuaries over the years.

The establishment of the Warren Centre for Actuarial Studies and Research as a part of the Faculty of Management makes it possible to continue and enhance the tradition of excellence which has distinguished the university’s actuarial program, while providing students with the educational breadth obtainable through access to business and management-oriented courses. The Warren Centre is the only Canadian actuarial program able to provide students with this powerful career advantage.

Admission Requirements
Grade for Entrance Previous Year (%)*: 85
Prerequisites: These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.

  • Grade 12 Precalculus
  • Grade 12 English
  • Manitoba high school graduation, with five full credits at the Grade 12 level, in courses designated S, G, or U, with:
    • Required subjects: a minimum 60% in each of English 40S, Pre-Calculus or Applied Math 40S, and a third 40S, with a
    • Minimum 85% average over the three required courses.
    Note: Pre-Calculus Math 40S is strongly recommended as applicants with Applied Math 40S will need to complete an extra, non-credit mathematics course at University in first year.
