Human Dimensions of Environmental Management (Native Studies Option)

Description: The Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences and the Faculty of Native Studies offer a five-year integrated program of *150 leading to Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts degrees. A better academic understanding of the Aboriginal use of resources can prepare students to work effectively in various contexts where knowledge of Aboriginal and Treaty rights and issues is required. The Combined Degrees between Environmental and Conservation Sciences and Native Studies are a means for students to specialize in the management of Aboriginal resources. The major in the Combined Degrees program is Human Dimensions of Environmental Management.

The program is open to both Native and non-Native applicants. Enrolment management procedures of the Faculty of Native Studies and the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences will apply for all years of the program.

  • Grade 12 Chemistry
  • Grade 12 Biology
  • Choose one of: Mathematics 31; Physics 30; Science 30; Social Studies 30-1; 30-level language; Fine Arts Course; Macroeconomics 30 and Microeconomics 30; a minimum of five credits in Career and Technology Studies at the Advanced level from one of the following: Agriculture, Community Health, Computer Science, Foods, Forestry or Wildlife
