History: Public History School: Bishop's University Faculty: Humanities Degree: Bachelor ; Honours Field of Study: History, General Description: Public history is a growing field, with new opportunities opening for history majors in recent years in such areas as historical societies, museums, corporations, municipalities, NGOs, provincial and federal government agencies and private genealogical enterprises. The program provides students with the opportunity to explore a variety of non-teaching careers in history and prepare them for employment in a field, which is expected to continue to show expansion.
