A major in Kinesiology and Applied Health can lead to a career as a physical education teacher, an athletic therapist, a personal fitness trainer, a sport coach, or a sport psychologist, among other options. The Department of Kinesiology at The University of Winnipeg is a student-oriented department with small class sizes and accessible professors. Our professors’ expertise lies in the areas of adapted physical activity, athletic therapy, coaching, exercise and sport psychology, motor behaviour, and sport science.
The Kinesiology program covers what, why, and how of human physical activity through three main areas of concentration: Kinesiology, Teaching, and Coaching. This program leads to a Bachelor of Science.
