Study of the dynamics of both natural and anthropogenic changes requires knowledge spanning many scientific disciplines. Recent environmental degradation such as surface and subsurface water pollution, air and soil pollution, climate change, depletion of resources, extinction of species and problems of waste disposal are all a result of the lack of understanding of environmental systems and processes. This program consists of approaches and skills from many disciplines such as biology, chemistry, geology, geography, mathematics, physics, and ecology. Environmental Science is offered as a Major or Minor Program. Grade 12 English Grade 12 Advanced Functions Grade 12 Calculus and Vectors Grade 12 Chemistry For the Major program in environmental science, grade 12 Biology and physics are recommended, but not required. For the minor program in environmental science, grade 12 chemistry is NOT required, but grade 12 Biology is recommended. Please refer to website for more information. A Supplementary Application Forms (SAF) is required for all programs except for the Concurrent Education Programs (which require an Applicant Profile).
