BMus (General) is a four-year program including studies in applied music, history and literature, and composition and theory. In addition to academic requirements, students must pass an audition, as well as a theory placement test or equivalent. This curriculum allows for flexible programming to accommodate individual backgrounds and needs, allowing this route to be as general or as specialized as students wish.
After completion of the first year of the Bachelor of Music degree, students may apply for admission to the BMus (World Music) program to be completed in three successive years. Admission is dependent upon a satisfactory GPA and the recommendation of the Department.
