| Description: |
Archaeology is the study and analysis of cultural and biological aspects of human groups that lived in the past. One of the benefits of this program is the strong emphasis on researching the Canadian past. The Archaeology program at the U of S develops research into the historical past of the Northern Plains, especially Saskatchewan. Students can explore the ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern worlds through the interdisciplinary Classical & Near Eastern Archaeology program at the U of S.
The honours degree prepares the student for graduate studies in archaeology. Honours students must consult with the Head of the Department, or the Departmental Undergraduate Advisor to establish the student's field of specialization.
