Description: Psychology is the study of behaviour and how it affects our lives. With the complexity of our modern world, psychologists fill an increasingly important role in dealing with human problems. University of Saskatchewan Psychology students choose courses in each of two areas of study. The first group includes courses related to the cultural, social and environmental influences on behaviour. The second group includes courses related to the cognitive, neuropyschological and biological influences on behaviour.

The Psychology B.Sc. Honours degree program was designed for students who are interested in pursuing graduate training in natural science areas of psychology (e.g., cognitive, neuropsychological, and biological influences on behaviour. Each year the department of Psychology normally admits up to 30 students into the Honours program. These admissions are done on a competitive basis and averages below 77% (in the last 60 credit units as well as for all courses taken in Psychology) would not normally be competitive for the program. B.Sc. Honours students should have a faculty supervisor at the time that they apply to the Honours Program.
