Nipissing's Computer Science majors receive a strong foundation in computer science theory as well as applications such as neural networks, artificial intelligence, robotics, graphics, distributed systems, computer security, and software engineering. Students also have the opportunity to conduct their own research in an Honours Research course.
A flexible system of elective courses allows you to tailor your studies to either a more practical or theoretical emphasis. Students more inclined to take the practical approach can choose courses such as Project Management or The Computing Profession, while those who are more theoretically inclined or are considering postgraduate studies can select courses such as Theory of Computation, Programming Paradigms, or Honours Research.
