Economics is the study of how wealth is produced, distributed, and consumed, and how our society, politics, and culture shape themselves around this activity. Co-op is available through Honours Arts in second year or through Honours Arts and Business Co-op. Economics Applied Co-op is also available as an Honours Co-op program.
Students can choose specializations in Econometrics, Environmental Economics, Finance, International Economics, Political Economy / Economic History, or Public Policy.

Grade 12 English
To apply for admission into Economics Plans, students must be in good academic standing and have successfully completed at least two ECON courses at UW. The minimum cumulative ECON grade average required for admission is 75% for Honours Economics (Regular or Co-operative) and 65% for General Economics (including Three Year, Four Year or Minor Studies).
