Requirements for Canadian Students For admission to full-time programs, most, but not all SAIT programs require students to have completed a high school diploma as well as specific subject prerequisites. However, mature students (those over the age of 18) do not require a high school diploma. They do, however, require the specific subject prerequisites. Requirements for International Students For admission to full-time programs, students must have a high school diploma as well as specific subject prerequisites. General prerequisites are senior level mathematics, English, chemistry, or physics. Entry to some programs may be competitive and may consider such criteria as grade point average and related work experience.
International students who do not meet program requirements, may choose to enrol in the English Language Foundations program where they have a choice of upgrading their English, math, physics, chemistry, and computer courses.
Start terms for international students include January, March, May, July, August, and November.
Although SAIT continues to receive applications until classes begin, international students should apply as soon as possible to allow time for study permit processing or International Prior Learning Assessment.
SAIT does not accept students on a first come, first served basis. In the case of over subscribed programs, additional selection procedures are employed and may include ranking based on academic merit, personal interviews, and essays or other criteria.
