Requirements for Canadian Students
Admission requires the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12) with the majority of senior credits at the advanced, general, college preparation, university preparation, or university/college preparation levels. Applied degree programs require six senior credits at the university, university/college, or OAC level. Applicants without an Ontario Grade 12 English credit or its equivalent will be required to write a mature student test. For programs where applications greatly exceed available seats, additional selection procedures may be in place. These procedures include testing, interviews, or questionnaires, or a combination of these activities. Applicants are notified of selection procedures after submitting an application.

Requirements for International Students
For England, Asian countries, the West Indies, and Africa, the General Certificate of Education with grades of A, B, C, D or 1, 2, 3 in five academic subjects at the "O" level.

American System: Grade 12 graduate.

A TOEFL score of 550 (paper based), 80 (Internet based with writing, reading, and speaking scores of 20) for admission to diploma programs, 570 paper based or 82 (internet based with writing, reading, and speaking scores of 21) for applied degree programs, and 580 paper based or 88 (internet based with writing, reading, and speaking scores of 22) and a Test of Spoken English may be required for Ontario college certificate programs.

An IELTS overall minimum score of 5.5 (with no single test less than 5.0) for diploma and certificate programs, 6.0 (with no single test score below 5.5) for post-secondary applied degree programs, and 6.5 (with no single test less than 6.0) for Ontario college certificate programs.

A CAEL overall score of 50 for diploma and certificate programs, on overall score of 60 and a writing performance score of 60 for applied degree programs, and overall score of 70 and a writing performance of 60 for Ontario college certificate programs.

Procedure for Canadian Students
Students should submit a completed application and transcript to Ontario College Application Services (OCAS) at www.ontariocolleges.ca. The application service will send your application to the colleges you have chosen. You may be asked to complete questionnaires, provide portfolios, attend interviews, and/or take part in testing or information sessions. The application processing fee is $95.00. The application fee is payable to OCAS. The preferential deadline for full-time diploma programs beginning in September is February 1.

Procedure for International Students
International applicants who are outside of Ontario may submit an application on the Internet by accessing the Web based application form found on the Seneca College international website.

To apply online, applicants must have a valid e-mail address. A paper version of the application is also available online in pdf format.
