Admissions

Requirements for International Students
Concordia welcomes qualified applicants from across Canada and around the world. In general, if you have completed the level of education required for admission to university in your home province, state, or country, and have achieved good grades, you are eligible to apply for admission. Your senior-level courses should be appropriate for the program to which you are applying. Admission is based on a number of criteria, including your grades, and space in many programs is limited. Satisfying the minimum requirements does not guarantee acceptance.

For a list of certificates recognized as qualifications for application, please visit registrar.concordia.ca/international-requirements.

Admission to certain programs (e.g. visual or performing arts, journalism, creative writing) is also based on additional requirements such as auditions, interviews, portfolios, or Letters of Intent. Please visit our website for details.

Procedure for International Students
How to Apply

1. Choose your programs: explore the Concordia website and find your program(s) of interest. You may indicate up to three program choices on your application. Your first choice program should be your preferred program, as you will not be considered for your second or third choices unless you are refused admission to your previous choice.

2. Find out about admission requirements: carefully review the admission and additional requirements for the programs you are applying to as some programs require prerequisite courses or a specific academic profile. Others may have additional requirements such as a letter of intent, portfolio, or interview.

3. Apply online: to begin the application process you must first create a profile on Connect2Concordia.ca and then follow the “Apply Now” link. You will be asked for biographical and contact information, program selection(s), your full academic history and current courses. You are strongly encouraged to upload supporting documents when submitting your application or at any point during the assessment period.

In order to finalize your application, a $100.00 application fee must be paid by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express) and a valid e-mail address must be given for correspondence.
