Requirements for International Students Admission requirements vary by program selected. Generally, applicants possessing the requirements necessary for admission to a recognized university in their home country may be eligible for admissoins consideration. International applicants whose first language is not English are required to provide proof of proficiency in English. Nipissing accepts a minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper) or 213 (computer based) as proof of English proficiency.
International applicants do not typically qualify for transfer credit for previously completed at non-Canadian institutions, or for financial aid. Part-time university study is not available to international students. Procedure for International Students Interational applicants intending to apply to more than one Ontario university will apply through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre. If Nipissing University is the only Ontario university being applied to, applicants can apply using the Nipissing University international application form available from the Liaison Office.
