Admissions

Requirements for Canadian Students
Admission requires complete high school level standing and the appropriate admission average/course prerequisites required for their college of choice. Students who are currently attending or have attended another post-secondary institution are also invited to apply.

Requirements for International Students
The University of Saskatchewan welcomes international applicants to apply to Agriculture, Arts and Science, Commerce, Dentistry, Engineering, Kinesiology, Law, Nursing and Pharmacy, and Nutrition. Admission is competitive, particularly for those undergraduate programs where there are a limited number of places available for international applicants. Applicants must demonstrate evidence of English proficiency.

Procedure for Canadian Students
Apply for admission online on the Web site. By applying online, you can monitor the status of your application conveniently.

To begin in September, the application deadline for most direct entry colleges is May 1. There is a $90.00 application fee and you must arrange to have transcripts sent to the University.

Procedure for International Students
The application deadline for most undergraduate programs is April 1 for international students applying from outside of Canada and May 1 for students living in Canada. There is a $90.00 application fee. Applications are available online on the Web site or may be requested from Recruitment & Admissions at (306) 966-5788 or international@usask.ca.

Please note that Term 1 (September) of the Regular Session is the common entry time for first year students. Few colleges are able to accommodate students wishing to begin studies in other terms.
