Career Planning
Career Services is dedicated to providing access to community part-time jobs and exposing students to relevant career-oriented employers prior to and after graduation.
For our students and graduates, our services include: - Notices of employment, including posting available positions at all campuses and mailing full-time employment opportunities to graduates from previous years. - Consultation regarding job search techniques, resume and interview skills, career information/salaries, job market expectations and college placement statistics.

Notes Canadore offers a wide variety of activities at the varsity, club and recreational levels. Our Panther varsity teams compete in men’s and women’s volleyball and indoor soccer against other college teams in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA). You may have opportunities to participate in an extensive campus recreation program, which includes intramural leagues and tournaments, instructional clinics, clubs, activity days and other activities. You may take advantage of free gym time, a fitness room, cross-country ski trails and walking trails during your leisure time. Panthers also offer club basketball and hockey teams that participate in tournaments and city leagues.
Activities
Canadore College shares a campus with Nipissing University and this allows us to offer you a variety of joint events that you just won't find anywhere else. For instance, The Wall Bar and Grillhouse is owned and operated by Canadore and Nipissing students. This 700 capacity student centre is a great place to relax and unwind with friends. It features a sports bar, lounge, full menu, an excellent sound system and is host to big name bands, entertainment and comedy acts throughout the year.
Clubs
The Canadore Students Representative Council (CSRC) supports and provides start up funds for clubs. Some organizations include the Panther Athletic Council (PAC) and the Canadore College Alumni Association. There are also campus television and radio stations and a campus newspaper.
Information Technology
Students may arrange for Internet access in their rooms with an outside Internet service provider. Internet access is also available in several computer labs, the library and the Learning Resources Centre.
Special Services
From the moment you arrive at Canadore College, you will notice that we are sensitive to the concerns of special needs students. We recognize that you may require changes to your physical environment, assistive devices, learning aids and alternative program delivery in order to be successful in your postsecondary studies. We provide the services necessary to make you feel comfortable and confident as you undertake your education at Canadore College.
Canadore is also a partner in a project with three other post-secondary institutions which has been awarded $4 million to assist people identified with learning disabilities make the transition from secondary to post-secondary level learning and to improve their chances for academic success.
Canadore has an Aboriginal Learning Unit (ALU) that is committed to ensuring the success of the school's aboriginal students. The ALU team members are available to assist you with your academic and general counselling needs. Cultural resources, peer tutoring and mentorship are provided to enhance your educational experience.
Canadore also offers the following services: Accessible Facilities, Counselling Services, Academic Counselling, Career Counselling, Admissions Counselling and Crisis/Personal Counselling.
International Involvement
Canadore College has been involved in projects in Thailand, China, Zambia, Mexico, Malaysia and Ecuador, ranging in scope from administrative infrastructure development to environmental technologies, curriculum development, hospitality/tourism, computer courses and networking/Internet development. The College is increasing its current range of student exchange agreements, which are in the fields of hospitality/tourism and business/information systems. Canadore College welcomes foreign students to apply to any post-secondary or skills training program based on availability of places in the program. Our well-respected aviation programs have been of particular interest to international students as well as information technology studies and English as a Second Language.

Campus Life/Student Services includes a Health Centre, AccessAbility services, career and employment services, counselling, campus shops, cafeterias, residence, athletics, recreation and wellness, testing centres, a Student Centre and parking.
