Off-campus housing is readily available and reasonably accessible to the campus. Prices vary depending on the style of accommodation (shared, one-bedroom, two bedroom etc.). The student unions offers an off-campus housing search service. For more information, visit http://www.ursu.ca/

Incoming Students
Newly admitted students are guaranteed a room in residence provided you submit your residence application by the applicable deadline.

Students must also attend a mandatory advising appointment. This will allow you to review program requirements, speak with an academic advisor and register in courses. To help students become more familiar with the campus we encourage students to attend the Spring Open House and Orientation in September. Career Planning
Career Exploration and Counselling is part of our Co-operative Education and Student Employment Centre. We provide students with a collection of material on occupations, career planning, and job markets, plus individual counselling in this area and career inventories. Workshops are also available for interview skills and resume writing.

Notes
The University of Regina has a 16-team intervarsity athletics program that competes against other postsecondary institutions across Canada and the United States. The teams are members of Canadian Interuniversity Sport and the Canada West Universities Athletic Association. Our athletes benefit from services that assist with academic and athletic pursuits such as conditioning and strength programs, trainers and team physiotherapists and physicians, year-round training facilities, weekly tutorial programs, academic advising and an athlete assistance program. Cougars games are always free to attend for current University of Regina students, while students get into Rams games for $5. Show your school spirit by coming out to cheer on your teams! Activities
It's not all work at the U of R! There are more than 50 different student clubs and societies to join, plus campus intramurals, the pool, gym, soccer and baseball fields, the fitness centre, theatres, student art gallery, The Owl Bar & Grill and the Students' Union. Over 50 clubs and student associations including Amnesty International, Chinese Students' and Scholars Association, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, Iranian Society, Justice Studies Student Society, Mathematical, Actuarial Science, Statistics Student Society, Model United Nations Club, Students for Sustainability, Traditions Club, Badminton Lovers' Club, Pre-Medicine Club, UR Karate Club, Vietnamese Student Association and the Beard Growers' Club. Information Technology
Student computer labs are located throughout the campus, and free wi-fi is available in all main buildings and the Academic Green. All students recieve a U of R email account, network storage drive and access to UR Self-Service.

Cultural
The University is part of Wascana Centre, a cluster of educational, cultural, recreational, and governmental resources, which includes the Saskatchewan Legislative Building, the MacKenzie Art Gallery, the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, the Conexus Arts Centre, the Saskatchewan Science Centre and IMAX Theatre, and the CBC Broadcast Centre.

Special Services
Services are available to support students outside the classroom. These include counselling services, an Aboriginal Student Centre, Career Services, daycare facilities and services for students with disabilities (Centre for Student Accessibility). International Involvement
The University of Regina sends more students abroad than any other school in Saskatchewan. Over 300 University of Regina students visit more than 50 countries around the world every year including: Argentina, Australia, China, Denmark, Iceland, Italy, Malaysia, Puerto Rico, and Switzerland. All students going abroad receive a $1,000 travel award to assist with travel expenses.
