Georgian College is a progressive, modern community college situated in the heart of Ontario's tourist region. This caring, friendly College offers all the amenities of the large city colleges while providing students with a safe clean living and study environment. The College was established in 1968 and is accredited by the Ministry of Education of Ontario.

Barrie is a city of 145,000 located just north of Toronto. The surrounding area, dotted with lakes and parks, provides unlimited recreational opportunities such as fishing, swimming, skiing, and golfing. Georgian College's central Ontario location allows for easy access to Niagara Falls, Canada's Wonderland, museums, Rogers Centre, CN Tower, and a host of cultural and social activities that showcase Ontario's finest attractions.

The College offers more than 60 post-secondary certificate and diploma programs.

Co-operative Education: Georgian College offers an education that pays with its co-op programs. This type of learning integrates classroom study with paid, on the job work experience, through alternating periods of employment with in college study.

Unique programs include Business Administration - Automotive Marketing, Mechanical Engineering - Automotive Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering - Automotive Products Design, Aviation Management, Jewellery and Metals Technician, Tourism Management, Human Resources Management, Bachelor of Arts (Psychology, Sociology, and Political Science), Bachelor of Applied Business - Automotive Management, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, English as a Second Language, and Ski Resort Operations.

We have a growing number of post-graduate programs for those with college diplomas or university degrees in specific career fields: Research Analyst, Cyberspace Security, Addictions: Treatment and Prevention, Fundraising and Resource Development, Human Resource Management, Goldsmithing and Silversmithing, International Business, and Web Design and Production.

Georgian has signed many articulation agreements with universities in Canada, the United States, and abroad providing graduates from specific college programs with an opportunity to gain advanced entry to degree programs.
