| Founded in 1975, the College of the Rockies is a publicly funded community college in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of southeastern British Columbia. Our region features world class resorts, spectacular wilderness, and some of the finest skiing/snowboarding areas in the world, all with no crowds! The College's main campus is located in the city of Cranbrook (population of 20,000). Cranbrook is a clean, safe, and very friendly city surrounded by forested areas and hiking trails. College of the Rockies, Cranbrook Campus is a modern facility located within walking distance of downtown, shopping malls, cinemas, and banks. This campus includes a gymnasium, indoor climbing wall, track and field, weight room, bookstore, cafeteria, library, and computer labs with free Internet. A wide range of programs are offered at the College of the Rockies including English Language Training, College Preparation, University Studies, and many other vocational certificate and diploma programs. International students are welcome in most programs provided they have the required prerequisites. Class sizes are small (averaging 20 students per class, even in university level courses) and students can expect personal attention from qualified instructors. |
