The School of Health Sciences at the University of Lethbridge strives to prepare excellent baccalaureate Nursing graduates and post-diploma Nursing graduates, by fostering the development of innovative clinical decision making, diagnostic reasoning, interpersonal skills, leadership behaviours, and technical knowledge and skills. Students have opportunity to study theory and experience clinical practice in the areas of medical and surgery, long-term care and continuing care, paediatrics, maternity and child, labour and delivery, mental health, community health, and rural acute.
The NESA (Nursing Education in Southwestern Alberta) and the BNAD (Bachelor of Nursing After Degree) are both offered in collaboration with the Lethbridge College. Students spend time attending both campuses but are always classified as UofL students.
