This program focuses on the theoretical and practical links between law, public policy, and social and criminal justice. The program provides an excellent learning opportunity for anyone interested in acquiring a graduate degree in criminology, or seeking a career in the criminal justice system. Graduates of the program will be well versed in the fields of public policy, criminal justice, the Canadian court and legal system, and social justice. You may combine your major with studies in other areas such as social psychology, political science, sociology, women’s studies, among many other possibilities.
Career opportunities may be found in research, probation/parole service, police service, social service, correctional services, and policy analysis.
