Business - Accounting School: Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning Faculty: Humber North Campus / The Business School Degree: Diploma Field of Study: Accounting Description: This two-year program prepares you to earn a living as an accountant. Students study accounting procedures and theory, auditing, taxation, law, information systems, and management. The program features a practical tie-in to industry and computer technology. Students learn hands-on computer skills with Access, Excel, Simply Accounting, and ACCPAC Plus and can access the Humber Accounting Centre and WebCT for assistance outside of the classroom. As well, qualified graduates may be eligible to apply their academic credits toward further study at many post-secondary institutions or complete the designation to be a certified general accountant (CGA).
