There are many different ways to begin studying philosophy and Dalhousie offers new students three alternatives: (1) general survey introductory classes, which will give you a taste of a variety of questions and answers; (2) introductory classes in specialized areas; and (3) logic, which is the study of the theory and techniques of good reasoning. Any of these methods provides students with a good introduction to philosophical thinking.
