| Description: |
Religious Studies examines religion as an objective historical reality in all its dimensions. The study of the ancient languages (Hebrew, Arabic, Hellenistic Greek, and Latin) is a central feature of Religious Studies, especially as it permits the study of the foundational texts in the original. In addition, Religious Studies examines in detail the ancient Near Eastern religions, Judaism, Islam, Christianity, Christian thought and institutions, and Asian religious traditions (taught in conjunction with the Department of Asian Studies), including their development in texts, art, architecture, and traditions. You can select a Major, Minor, or Honours degree in Religious Studies.
