Description: Use your knowledge in human development, sensory development, leadership and observation to design and run programs that stimulate and enhance developmental potential in all children, including children with special needs. Your career options are broad from front-line worker to management and leadership positions.

Practice activity planning, snack and meal planning, positive place strategies, and then how to support the child with positive behaviour management and age appropriate curriculum. As a student, you work hands-on with children from the Lakeland College Child Development Centre. Students complete a practical component with the children on a weekly basis.

Prerequisites:

This program requires successful completion of the Early Childhood Development certificate program or an equivalent with at least a 2.0 GPA. Relevant work experience may be considered for applicants without the required GPA.
