The certificate in adult education is a 30-credit undergraduate program designed to provide formal instruction to practitioners and professional adult educators in a variety of fields. Examples are community animators, industrial and business training specialists, consultants, health care educators, coordinators of in-service education, volunteer services coordinators, or others whose function is to help adults to learn.
Credits earned in this program are officially recognized by the Quebec Ministry of Education for teacher classification.
No specific courses are required beyond a DEC (general or professional). Applicants for the Certificate in Adult Education are interviewed by the Department before being admitted to the program.
