This program is designed to produce skilled artists with a high level of competence in traditional art skills to meet the needs of industry in electronic computer applications for graphic design artists.
All modules of the program are integrated throughout with hands-on projects, lectures, and demonstrations to provide the best possible learning environment. Creativity, good solid design principles, and the technical production process (such as photography, film assembly, and printing) are stressed throughout the program. Computer graphics is a significant component of the program, providing hands-on microcomputer training. The student will accumulate the knowledge necessary to use various computer software programs to electronically complete design concepts, digital photography, electronic stripping, and film output to meet the needs of the printing process.

Grade 12 English
Applicants must have a high school diploma, or equivalent. It is strongly recommended that students entering the Mohawk College Graphic Design Creative Studio program have previous traditional art instruction.
