| Description: |
Plumbing is a mandatory certified trade regulated by the Trades Qualification and Apprenticeship Act. New construction techniques, building materials, codes, and technologies of modern society have turned plumbing into a highly specialized practice where formal training and certification is mandatory. The design, layout, installation, and maintenance of potable water systems, hot water systems, gas piping systems, drainage, and wastewater systems is governed by both provincial codes and regulations and by municipal building codes and bylaws.
Get hands-on training with the three eight-week blocks of in-school training that this certificate program offers. The basic, intermediate, and advanced levels provide apprentices with the theory, mathematics, plan reading, and practical skills needed to carry out their work correctly in both the residential and ICI sectors.
