Biology & Biotechnology School: University of Saskatchewan Faculty: Faculty of Arts and Science Degree: Bachelor Field of Study: Biology/Biological Sciences, General Biotechnology Description: Biotechnology is the application of the principles of biology, biochemistry, microbiology and molecular biology for medical, industrial, agricultural and environmental uses. The undergraduate program in Biology & Biotechnology provides students with an understanding of these principles through hands-on laboratories and opportunities for summer and project-based research laboratory experience. As well, this interdisciplinary program offers the opportunity to enhance entrepreneurial, social and philosophical understanding of the business of biotechnology. Faculty are enthusiastic about our undergraduate teaching and actively encourage students to engage with us in our research through undergraduate research project.
