| Description: |
The Energy Systems Technology program prepares students for employment in the sustainable energy field, with a focus on energy systems for residential and small commercial buildings. Students will study energy systems harnessing energy from renewable sources- sun, wind, water, geothermal heat, and biomass - in order to have a sustainable environment that will meet our present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs. Topics on energy management, energy efficiency and energy conservation and sustainable building and development are also covered in the program.

Grade 12 English
Grade 12 Mathematics
For graduates of the new curriculum (OSS): Ontario Secondary School Diploma (30 credits) or equivalent or mature student status, including: - any grade 12 English (C, (U), or (M) - any grade 12 math (C), (U), or (M) (MCT4C is highly recommended) Recommended: - any grade 12 physics (C), (U), or (M) - any technology subjects (construction, manufacturing design, transportation) - computer competency in relevant software
For graduates of the old curriculum (OS:IS): Ontario Secondary School Diploma (30 credits) or equivalent or mature student status, including: - any 2 senior level English (general or advanced) - any 2 senior level mathematics (general or advanced) Recommended: - any senior level physics (general or advanced) - any technology subjects (construction, manufacturing, design, transportation) - computer competency in relevant software
