This program is designed to give students foundational sills in environmental sciences and to provide an opportunity for students to apply those skills to specific areas of environmental protection, such as water and wastewater treatment, solid waste management or in the development of environmental management or health and safety systems. Students are provided with an up-to-date knowledge of environmental regulations and policies and their general application to air, water, and waste issues.
In addition to the mandatory course offerings, students are provided with the opportunity to choose specific courses to meet their individual career interests. This allows students some flexibility to focus in one or two areas of environmental protection.
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
