Description: The undergraduate chemistry programs at the University of Alberta are designed to provide a broad background in the theory and practice of chemistry. For the high school graduate, there are three chemistry programs in the Faculty of Science, all of them a minimum of four years long. Students in the honors program must take an equivalent of ten single-term courses between September and April each year.

Students in the specialization program and with concentration in chemistry may take fewer courses, but a minimum of three courses per term is required to maintain full-time status.
