Chemistry School: Bishop's University Faculty: Natural Sciences and Mathematics Degree: Bachelor Field of Study: Chemistry, General Description: Class sizes in chemistry courses are small, which promotes close personal contact between members of the faculty and students. The faculty are also heavily involved in undergraduate laboratories, which enhances this personal contact and results in a friendly and very productive learning experience in experimental chemistry. The Chemistry Department has an excellent set of modern instruments (eg. 400 MHZ NMR), computers, and other equipment, which is used by undergraduates in their laboratory courses and in research projects. This is in contrast to large universities where many instruments are reserved for graduate students only. Students at Bishop 's learn much from their extensive use of modern instrumentation and equipment, and benefit greatly from this knowledge in future employment and graduate studies. Grade 12 English Grade 12 Advanced Functions and Introductory Calculus or Grade 12 Geometry 2 of: Grade 12 Physics or Grade 12 Biology or Grade 12 Calculus Students must hold a Québec collegial diploma (D.E.C.) in science or equivalent. They must also have Chemistry 101 and 201, Mathematics 103 and 203, and Physics 101 and 201. Out of province students must have English 12, Math 12, and two Grade 12 sciences.
