The study of history promotes better understanding of how societies work, the factors that bring them together and set them apart, and the events that have shaped their development. It helps to explain how different political and legal systems came into being and how economic and geographic conditions have driven the growth of nations. Students in history choose from a wide variety of courses in Canadian, American, European, and world history.
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
