Administrative Assistant and Secretarial Science, General
Description:
This one-year program prepares graduates to assist in a wide variety of office settings. The workplace role of the Office Administration graduate is to support the management of an organization by carrying out three key and interdependent functions: organizing, processing information, and communicating. Office Administration - General studies may also form the foundation for enhanced and specialized learning leading to an Office Administration - Legal, Medical, or Executive Diploma.
Initially, students enrol in a common first semester. In second semester, they have course selection options to complement the prescribed general curriculum; further their interests, skills, and career goals; and provide options if they are interested in pursuing year 2 of the Office Administration - Legal, Medical, or Executive Diploma Programs. Industry trends and requirements are continually monitored to ensure curriculum remains current and relevant.

Grade 12 English
Completion of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent is required. Also recommended: Mathematics: Any Grade 12 College Mathematics (MAP 4C or MCT 4C), or any Grade 12 University Mathematics. Applicants should contact the school for more information.
