You'll gain a solid foundation in the history of Canadian settler-state formation, the general processes by which Indigenous lands are colonized and controlled (nationally and internationally) and knowledge of contemporary Indigenous struggles. You'll also acquire strong analytic skills in social and political policy as well as governmental and private sector initiatives. This program is designed for students preparing for graduate studies or employment in education, public administration, law and law enforcement, immigration, social work, the health professions, public relations or non-governmental organizations.
