Agricultural and Bioresource Engineering School: University of Saskatchewan Faculty: Faculty of Engineering Degree: Bachelor ; Co-op Field of Study: Agricultural/Biological Engineering and Bioengineering Description: Agricultural & Bioresource Engineering is the application of engineering principles to any process associated with the production of biologically-based goods and the management and protection of our natural resources. Agricultural and Bioresource engineers develop efficient and environmentally-sensitive methods of producing food, fiber, timber, bio-based products and renewable energy sources for an ever-increasing world population. These engineers directly contribute to the improvement of our quality of life, right here in Saskatchewan and Canada, as well as around the world. The Engineering Professional Internship Program is a five-year program which includes a minimum of eight months (under review) of supervised work experience in industry. Normally, the work terms commence after the student has completed at least 84 credit units of an Engineering program. For a student to be admitted to the internship program he or she must have achieved and must maintain a 65% Sessional Weighted Average. A student must have at least 18 credit units remaining in the B.E. program. Interested students are encouraged to contact either the Engineering Student Centre or the Student Employment and Career Centre (SECC).
