| Description: |
In this era of internationalization, it is important to think globally and act locally. The sequenced, skills-based language courses and detailed analyses of language and culture that form the core of the Modern Languages program prepare students to do both. This program offers concentrations in German, Italian, and Spanish. The university multi-media language/learning lab and the departmental mini-lab support the development of linguistic and cultural skills. It is possible for students to enter the program with no previous knowledge of the language of concentration; placement for those with previous knolwedge is provided. Courses in Arabic, Japanese, and Ojibwe are available as well.
