Concurrent Biological Sciences and Education - Thesis

Description: All students are required to complete the requirements of the Honours Biological Sciences with Thesis degree program, in addition to the required Education courses. Biology will be the first teachable subject for students in this program. All students must select a second teachable subject from Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics, and take six courses in the selected subject which satisfy the major requirements for an Honours degree in the selected subject.Students are advised to seek counselling in the Department of Biological Sciences to ensure that their selection of courses fulfills the requirements for the Honours Biological Sciences with Thesis degree and the requirements for the second teachable subject.Undergraduate students may be allowed, with the consent of the instructor, to take one graduate course for credit in the Honours Biological Sciences Program.

  • Grade 12 Advanced Functions
  • Grade 12 Chemistry
  • Grade 12 Biology
  • Applicants must present six Grade 12 "U" or "M" courses including ENG4U English, MHF4U Advanced Functions, and two of SCH4U Chemistry, SBI4U Biology or SPH4U Physics is required. MCV4U Calculus and Vectors is strongly recommended. Admission requires completion and submission of an experience profile by the prescribed deadline and may require an interview. Enrollment in this program is limited to 20 students.
