| Description: |
The first semester of the Real Property Administration diploma program acquaints students with introductory subjects in property valuation, financing, and real estate appraisal. Subsequent semesters cover aspects of property law, appraising, municipal taxation and urban planning, property assessment and taxation, data processing, statistics and construction techniques. Students receive training in the most up-to-date assessment software used in the industry.
Students will be expected to successfully complete work placements provided by employers in the real property industry. The duration and nature of the work placement will vary. It will entail block placements which include the study week. Purchase of a textbook may be required for field placement.

Grade 12 Economics
Grade 11 Mathematics
Applicants must have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma with a majority of senior credits at the College Preparation(C), University Preparation(U) or University/College Preparation (M) level or Mature Student Status (age 19 or older). Grade 12 Mathematics (C) or (U) or Grade 11 Mathematics (U) or (M) are acceptable prerequisites.
Although not required for admission, basic computer skills and business mathematics are suggested.
