Mathematics and Economics School: University of Alberta Faculty: Faculty of Science Degree: Bachelor ; Co-op ; Honours Field of Study: Economics, General Mathematics, General Description: Economics and Mathematics are closely related, but one subject is offered by the Faculty of Arts and the other by the Faculty of Science. The regulations of the two faculties make it difficult to take a program that includes a large number of courses from both. The Specialization in Mathematics and Economics program is a joint program of the two faculties, administered by the Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences, which overcomes these difficulties as far as Economics and Mathematics are concerned.
