All engineering undergraduates tackle the fundamentals in a common first-year program: mechanics, graphics, electricity and magnetism, chemistry, mathematics, computer-aided design principles, and communications. For those choosing co-op, seminars are provided to assist in preparation for interviews, develop job-search skills, find appropriate placements, and define career goals.
Concerns with design, analysis, and continuous improvement of integrated systems of people, materials, information, equipment, and energy are central to this field of study. Students are prepared for playing a leading role in the management of the industrial infrastructure.
