The main attraction of the park is its suspension bridge that is strung between treetops and hangs over the Capilano River which makes the perfect photo opportunity. Become an honorary Newfoundlander at a Screech-In

Newfoundland and Labrador have so many incredible sights and activities to do, but the absolute best activity you can do is participate in the legendary Screech-In Ceremony. This is a ceremony where locals will welcome you to the community as an honorary Newfoundlander. You will be expected to recite some words, eat “Newfoundland steak” which is fried bologna, kiss a fish on the mouth, and take a shot of Newfoundland Screech Rum. You can participate in Screech-In Ceremonies anywhere in Newfoundland, but the most popular place is Christian’s Pub on George Street where you’ll receive a certificate for your new status.

Tidal Bore Rafting and Mudsliding tours

Seeking a mix between thrill and scenery? This adventure takes you rafting on rapids and sliding down steep mud slopes of the riverbed while you witness an incredible natural event. A tidal bore is a large wave caused by the funneling of a flood tide as it enters the Shubenacadie River, a long, narrow, shallow inlet. This initial wave can be inches or feet in size, but the waves that follow it are massive and will have you struggling to stay in your seat as you bounce around.

Tobermory

Tobermory is a small, lakeside town on top of the Bruce Peninsula. This area is full of exciting adventures from long, cliffside trails, crystal clear waters, the infamous Grotto and its caves, diving and snorkeling, and boat tours.
