Who says you can’t be an international traveler and a student? In fact, traveling while you’re going to university offers many great benefits that can enhance your education, and your career opportunities. For students at KPU, the international department offers study abroad opportunities, exchanges, field schools, and more.

Going on an exchange can be the experience of a lifetime. Develop a deeper understanding of other cultures, learn a new language, and experience a new culture, all while paying KPU tuition, and earning transferable credits that count towards your credential. KPU has dozens of partner schools around the world where you can study for one or two semesters, and international scholarships and awards are available to assist with the cost.

Not sure how to spend your summer? How about spending time in Germany, Switzerland, or Denmark? International summer school terms let you take classes, gain a unique insight into everyday life in other parts of the world, and connect with other international students. KPU also offers international internships in Germany and Cuba where you can take your education out of the classroom and beyond borders.

Looking for some short-term travel? Try a field school! Unlike an exchange, field schools usually last just a few weeks. During a field school, you’ll travel as part of a group, with an instructor, exploring a particular topic in depth. This can be a great way to incorporate travel into your education without the commitment of an exchange. KPU has previously held field schools in Paris and Geneva, the Amazon, Rome, and Cuba.
